What is BBL?
BBL stands for Broadband Light Therapy. BBL is used to treat a wide range of cosmetic issues including aging, sun damage, pigmentation problems such as freckles or age spots, acne, skin tightening, and much more.
How does it work?
We ask that men are cleanly shaved before coming in. When you arrive you will be asked to remove any makeup and clean your face. We will ask you to put on safety shields for your eyes. The aesthetician will use a wand to move the light over the targeted areas. The lights will heat the upper layers of your skin, causing increased collagen production, restoring natural color and smoothing the skin.
How long does it take?
The whole procedure takes about 30 minutes, depending on the area of treatment. Afterwards, you can apply your makeup immediately and resume your normal activities immediately.
Do BBL treatments hurt?
BBL Treatments are designed to be gentle, safe and non-invasive. It is typically done with no topical anesthetics, but we do provide them if you are very sensitive to pain or are having the procedure done to sensitive areas. Patients have described the procedure as feeling like snapping from tiny rubber bands.
What kind of results can I expect?
We base our treatments on specific problems. In addition to your specific goals you may notice a reduction in acne, unwanted hair, wrinkles, freckles, and age spots. An increase of vibrancy in your skin is the result of collagen increase.
How many treatments do I need?
It depends on what we are treating. For anti-aging treatments, we recommend a series of 5 treatments over the course of 15 weeks (one every 3 weeks), followed by a maintenance plan of one every 3 months.
Who is BBL for?
BBL is for anyone wishing for a more youthful appearance, as well as specific skin problems, BBL is great for reducing dark spots, minor wrinkles, acne blemishes and scars, signs of aging, and sun damage.

Most people are candidates for Broadband Light Treatments! The only people that BBL won’t work on are people with skin type 6, people with light induced migraines, and people on medications that cause sensitivity to light.
